WE ARE HERE

In a six-week photography workshop on the beautiful grounds of Flatlands Reformed Church, Josephine Herrick Project came together with East Flatbush Community Partnership and youth in the community as partners and new friends for one mission: to celebrate creative freedom.

Putting cameras in the hands of the youth, we armed them with new tools in composition, visual design, voice, and empowerment in self-expression. No matter their age, color, or differences, they focused on working together and creating visuals that strengthened and demonstrated their point of view.
