One of the reasons JHP programs are as effective and transformative as they are is the quality of our teachers. They are dedicated, passionate about photography and teaching, and go over and above to deliver programming that changes our students' lives. Here are scenes from our class at the International High School at LaGuardia Community College. JHP Teachers Lorin and Farah lead a discussion with the students about developing their personal projects, and learning about aperture and ISO. Students at the International High Schools we work in are students new to the United States, learning English and acclimating to a new culture. Photography is an important tool for expressing themselves, finding their voice and telling their stories, particularly where English might still be a challenge for some. We cannot wait to see the photo projects the students create.
